Step 1: Install and Activate the Google Site Kit Plugin.
1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. In the sidebar, go to “Plugins” and click on “Add New.”
2. Search for “Google Site Kit.” Once you find the plugin, click “Install Now,”
… once installed click “Activate”
Done. The Site Kit plugin is now activated.
Step 2: Set Up Google Site Kit
2. Go to the “Site Kit” menu and Click “Start Setup.”
2. Agree to “Google Terms” (second term optional) and Click “Sign in with Google.”
… from this point onward “Google Site Kit” will guide you through all necessary steps in order to sign in with your Google Account and link your website to Google Analytics.
Done. Google Analytics is now installed and can be viewed directly in WordPress dashboard.
Please note: On the initial log into Google Analytics all statistics will show blank fields and have no data to show. Do not be alarmed, google need time to sync into your website and gather information. It can take up to 72 hours before stats show up for your site.
